What is HYCAT of Huntington

The Huntington YMCA Swim Team (HYCAT of Huntington) is a YMCA/USA Swimming program providing swimming opportunities for children in the Greater Huntington, West Virginia area.  Swimmers from West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio train at Marshall University and compete all over the United States.  Novice swimmers compete in “mini-meets” while the elite swimmers travel to Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, and many other places.  Between its Huntington and Charleston locations, HYCAT represents 25% of all West Virginia swimmers and is the 38-time defending state champion.

Why HYCAT of Huntington?

HYCAT of Huntington has been steadily growing over the last several years in both the number of swimmers participating and quality of swims.  Boasting some of the best facilities in West Virginia, an expert coaching staff with more than twenty-five years of experience in competitive swimming, a parent-board focused on the growth and development of the swimmer, and a competitive sister program in Charleston, HYCAT of Huntington offers a variety of programs (both seasonal and year-round) for swimmers ranging from novice to National level and everything in between.
